can't sleep

I haven't seen Drew in 10 weeks and we have been planning this trip for a while.  But now I feel heartsick.  See, this is the only week that I have 2 days off in a row for a while, which is why I booked Drew on a plane that is supposed to arrive at 11:30 am, Monday morning.  But, the airline canceled his flight and now he can't get another flight until Tuesday.

To say that I am upset is an understatement.  I knew I was looking forward to this, but I didn't realize how much I was absolutely depending upon this until I found out it wasn't gonna happen.  I know I have to wait just a little longer, but still.  I was supposed to see him Monday.  We were supposed to have Monday and Tuesday together, uninterrupted.

   I am really, really sad.

Jessica, I feel for you so much! I will be praying for you today! When Rob and I flew from HI in June one of our flights was cancelled. Later the airlines re-instated it. I found out that most airlines are letting go many of their pilots due to gas, etc. being so high. So, they didn't have enough pilots for our flight. Later, they found enough pilots for our flight and re-instated it. So, tell Drew to continue to check about that flight that was cancelled; you never know.

It so hard to be without your love one, especially your husband. It's difficult and I will pray for you all day!! Jesus hold Jessica close and help her sleep well, too!

I'm thankful for your union, too!

That stinks! Stupid airline.

Too bad there isn't like a pneumatic tube that we could drop Drew into and shoot him across the country. That would be awesome.

Jess, I will be praying for you.
I've felt little pangs of missing Keith lately, too.
Keith has been working a lot of Sat. This Sat., he didn't have to work but he moved his brother into their new home. I tried real hard to busy myself. :)Of course, I knew that because he's such a sweet, great guy he would be the last one to leave and he was.
I'm hoping to spend this Sat. with him. Yea!
When Holden was born he had to leave at 4:00a.m. and returned home at 9:00p.m. He hardly saw us. Thankfully it passed. This will, too. :)
God please bring Drew and Jess close SOON and help their time together to be wonderful. Help her to rest and give comfort to Drew and Jess.
Oh, a side note...Keith belongs to a union, too.
It's a blessing that everything with your work is going so great. :)

Man that really stinks. But take lemon and make lemonade... somehow. Prepare a nice surprise for Drew that you wouldn't otherwise be able to.

I can imagine that you are very very upset! I would be! In fact, I am!!!! I was so happy thinking of Drew having left already this morning at 5:00 AM to get to the airport so that he could take off on that plane at 7 AM!!! And all this time he wasn't taking off! I feel very badly for both of you! How can the planes do this? How about if this was an emergency and Drew needed to get there immediately? They couldn't find another plane sooner than Tuesday?

Bummer! Arrrggghhhh! I hope this is just another Drewish joke, and that he's already there with you as I write. But if not, cherish the time you do have with him, even if it's less than you planned on. This very legit disappointment can't steal the joy you two will have when he does make it to you!

I am so sorry Jess. I would be so upset too. Hang in there.

Boy do I know how upsetting that is! Because John travels so much for work, the odds of his flight getting delayed or canceled increases every time he flies, I think. It is really discouraging when you are expecting someone to arrive at a certain time, especially if you have made plans, and they are unable to do so for whatever reason. You can understand it if it is due to weather issues, though it is still upsetting, but if it is due to some other arbitrary reason it is just downright maddening! I am so sorry this has happened, Jess!

Jesus, please be with Jess and give her the grace and peace she needs to deal with this disappointment. I pray that the time they have together will be really sweet and that You will make up for the lost day. Please open up an earlier flight for him if at all possible. Be with Drew too, and help him to handle his disappointment, as well, in Jesus' name. Bless you, my sister.

Alas, Peaj, it's not a joke. I am sitting here, in my cat-less house, having been on the phone with the airlines for multiple hours. Through much wheeling and dealing . . . I am still not able to get there until tomorrow morning. BUT, I was able to extend my stay for a day. Not optimal, but it's something.

17 hours, Jess . . .

ah, if I could, let me just rephrase that last statement--Josh, one COMMENT was enough.

I realize that what I wrote might have given the wrong impression...

Jess, thanks for the clarification, it made this run of comments so much funnier!
